Since Valentine’s day is just around the corner, we are going to cover 10 fun date night ideas for couples that can be done in the comfort of your own home. Yup, no need to get out of the house to spice up the romance.

Making reservations on Valentine’s Day can be a nightmare and depending on where you live, restaurants might not even be an option at all with the pandemic going on. Not to worry because these ideas will make you want to just stay home anyway, so let’s get started with our list of fun date night ideas.

1. Build a Pillow Fort

Forget that you’re a grown up! Build a fort with some pillows, blankets, strings, and whatever furniture you have laying around the house. Style it with some lights and make it cozy inside so that you can lay down and watch a movie. This will be such a fun and easy nostalgic date night idea.

2. Wine and Paint

Bring out your inner artist! Sipping a glass of wine while painting can be so therapeutic and relaxing. If you want a step by step tutorial to follow, you can both check out the the painter Bob Ross for some gorgeous landscape lessons.

3. Dress up with Candle Light Dinner

Instead of going to a fancy restaurant, why don’t you bring the fancy restaurant to you. Dress up or put on your best suit a like you would at a fine dining restaurant. Prepare a candle light dinner for a romantic vibe then play some Jazz music in the background when your date comes in.

4. Game Night

Have some fun lighthearted games and just goof around. It can be the traditional board games, puzzles, card games or video games. Our favorite board games on game night are Clue, Jenga, Sorry and Connect 4. Make it more interesting by having a prize for the winner with some friendly competition.

5. Themed Movie Night

Movies are always the go to date nights but one way to step up is to have a themed movie night! Plan out your night beforehand based on what movie you guys are watching and get inspired. You can decorate the room, dress up, or have food related to the movie. For example, we watched Ratatouille which was based in Paris. Hence, I put my Eiffel tower decor and had some French dish with creme brulee and croissant for the movie.

6. Spa Day

Sometimes it’s just nice to just relax and destress. Have a spa day by exfoliating, using a charcoal peel off masks and finishing it off with facial moisturizing mask. Apply the masks to each other as part of the fun. To spice it up, give each other an oil massage afterwards. You’ll then both feel really good and fresh afterwards.

7. Concert at Home

Go on Youtube and stream some live concert shows together of a DJ or singer that you both love. For an added fun, pretend that you are part of their concert. Sing along and have fun dancing to their music.

8. Indoor BBQ

Have an indoor BBQ night while hanging out or watching a show. I would suggest to have some Korean BBQ! Not only is it delicious but it is so easy to make. All you have to do is throw the meat at the grill and it will cook in seconds. We purchased a portable grill pan with stove set (picture above) for our KBBQ and we’ve used it multiple times already. It was such a great investment!

9. Make a Tiktok Together

Yup, I said it. Don’t hate me but making a Tiktok together is really fun! Be creative in what kind of video you would like to make. You can do a short dancing choreography, prank, dress up, lip sync, trend etc. It’s very fun working on something together and you’ll both feel accomplished  making this video. You don’t have to upload it for the public to see. You can just keep it on your phone and have it as a memory that you can look back to.

10. Cook Something New Together

It’s always fun to learn something new so cook something that you both haven’t cooked before. You’ll be able to gain a new skill while you both bond together.
