London can be one of the most iconic and photogenic cities in the world. We tend to associate it with high tea, British accents, the Royal family, underground transportations, massive parks, phone booths and the red double decker buses. Oh! Incase you didn’t know, they also use the term “loo” for the bathroom.

There a lot of Instagrammable places around so I wanted to narrow it down to the top 15 most Instagrammable places you can find in London.

Tip: Try to visit London during the Chelsea Flower Show to see more bars and restaurants with decorated flower arrangements around their properties. So snap-worthy!

Oh, the power of Instagram! This chic bakery has to be the most Instagrammable cafe in London. I have to admit that I checked it out due to its Instagram hype! Its pink aesthetic and flower decorations are what drew people to this cafe. Plus, their beautifully designed cupcakes and coffees make it more fun to enjoy the brunch. I thought that it was bit pricey though for what they really are. Nevertheless, it’s a great place to visit at least once.

The famous clock tower of the Westminster Palace is another recognizable landmark. The name ‘Big Ben’ was due to its enormous bell inside that chimes every 15 minutes. They supposedly pride themselves for having their time as accurate within the second keeping the locals on time. Unfortunately, Big Ben is covered right now in scaffolding and it is under construction until 2021. Hence, it is not looking pretty right now 🙁

If you sign up to their database, you’ll be the first to hear when they go live. Make sure to book in advance! You could be looking at booking 2-3 months in advance depending how lucky you are. They do have their summer themes during the rest of the months. (This year’s theme: Surfer Shacks)

Address: Tower Bridge Rd, London SE1 2UP, UK
Nearest Tube Station: Tower Hill

In my opinion, the Tower Bridge is the prettiest bridge of London! #Sorrynotsorry! There is a small exhibition inside if you wanted to learn more about its history. You should also check out the glass floor at the higher level walkways. It is super cool because you get to watch the cars and people from up above as they pass through the bridge. It is even cooler when you can watch the bridge lift and open up in half whenever a tall vessel has to pass through. Check online for the lift times to make sure that you won’t miss it.

10. Piccadilly Circus

Photo: @steffscheid
Address: Piccadilly Circus, London W1J 9HS, England
Nearest Tube Station: Piccadilly Circus

Piccadilly Circus is basically the equivalent to New York’s Time Square. The flashy digital billboards surround the area with shopping centers and entertainment. Its a great place to hang out and many use the statue with steps as their meeting point. Go find yourself a theatre nearby to watch a popular musical. It’s one of my favorite things to do! You can walk to Leicester Square and look for some last minute tickets available.

11. Cheval Three Quays at the Tower of London

Do you want that perfect “waking up in London” feel? Well this is your place! What better view is there than the Tower Bridge? Have some breakfast in bed while overlooking the view and start your day perfectly!

12. Platform 9 3/4

Photo: @kurovskyi

Tube Station: Inside King’s Cross

Ehem! It’s Leviosa, Not Leviosar! Harry Potter fans, you better visit Platform 9 3/4 located in front of platfrom 9 at King’s Cross Station. You can’t miss it because you’ll see a huge crowd in a line (or should I say queue). There is also a Harry Potter store next to it if you feel like getting yourself a magic wand. Fun fact is that there was never a barrier between platform 9 & 10. Apparently, J.K. Rowling admitted to mixing it up with Euston Station’s platform 4 & 5.

Back in 2010, Photo from me! @melissagasia

I remember back when I was studying in London in 2010, there were no crowds at all. Platform 9 3/4 used to actually be next to the train, so you’d have to have a train ticket. You’d see a couple of people actually running into the wall for fun. I guess we can’t get through the secret entrance to Hogwarts Express. Oh the life of a muggle!

13. Portobello Road Market at Notting Hill

Photo: @ticija
