This farm stay Airbnb in California isn’t just a place to sleep — it’s an interactive farm experience where you get to meet their rescued animals: alpacas, horses, mini horses, goats, chickens, rabbits, cats, and sheep. We were encouraged to bring some snacks to feed the animals but they also have some animal food for guests if you didn’t bring any.
📍Location: Exeter, California (3 Hours from Los Angeles)
Quick note: This is in Central California and not South California – Just added it as part of SoCal category list anyway since it is an reasonable 3 hour drive from LA.

Complimentary Breakfast Basket
I’ve stayed at plenty of Airbnbs over the years, and this was my first time having a breakfast basket delivered right to our door. More Airbnb hosts should seriously do this as it was such a thoughtful touch. We whipped up pancakes using the pancake mix and cooked some fresh eggs they’d sent. We then had a lovely breakfast on the front porch with their fresh juice.

Meet the Animals
The highlight of the Airbnb is obviously the animals! You can cuddle, pet, interact and feed them. The caretaker will give you a tour of the property and share the backstory of the animals & how they were rescued. She’ll give you some snacks if you would like to feed any of the animals. It was such a blast meeting each animal and it’s funny how each of them really had their own personality.

The Home
This home had such a cozy and homey that it feels like you are visiting a family friend. The place is clean, peaceful & quiet which is a nice escape from the city. I love that one of the room’s window even looks out to the animals.

What to Know before Booking
The owners live at the main house in the property and you are staying at a separate detached house. I just wanted to point that out but you’ll have your privacy as you are a good distance away from the main house. The owners are pretty much closer to the horses and you will be staying at the home closer to the goats.
