Best Places to View the Golden Gate Bridge
Have you really been to San Francisco if you haven’t seen the Golden Gate Bridge? The most iconic landmark of the city brings visitors and locals in awe with its beautiful structure. Here is a guide to find some of the prime spots to view and photograph the Golden Gate Bridge.
1. Golden Gate Overlook
Found within the Presidio, the Golden Gate Overlook offers a perfect framed perspective of the bridge. It is a less crowded and more peaceful location to watch the bridge. 2. Under the Bridge – Fort Point
For a different angle, you can have a watch the Golden Gate Bridge by standing underneath it at the top of Fort Point. The Fort Point is also a National Historic Site that will bring you back to the Civil War-era.
3. Marshall Beach
Marshall Beach gives a more intimate view of the bridge. You would go through a trail to reach to shore and it is great spot to watch the ocean waves. It’s a great spot for picnicking and enjoying the beach.
4. Battery Spencer
Battery Spencer is probably the most popular spot to view the Golden Gate Bridge. It offers the most breathtaking panoramic views of the bridge and serves as a historical site that used to be a part of US Army’s defense. Parking is not easy and traffic-heavy but its so worth it for the ocean view with the bridge.
