5 Fun Ideas to Virtually Hang Out with Friends while Social Distancing

With the coronavirus disease or COVID-19 spreading rapidly, the government had ordered us to stay at home. It has been stressed out to practice social distancing by staying atleast six feet apart from others to help flatten out curve and keep the coronavirus from spreading.

Being physically apart with your friends, doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t socially interact with them. There are many ways to stay in touch with your friends while social distancing.

1. Watch Netflix with Friends with Netflix Party Chrome Extension

We can all agree that Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video and Disney Plus have been our best friend for this quarantine moment. It’s okay to binge watch a new show to cure our boredom but you don’t have to watch Netflix alone anymore. With Netflix Party, you can watch a movie or show remotely with your friends simultaneously. There is also a chatroom next to the movie so that your group can also talk while the movie is playing. What’s also cool is that everyone can also have control on pausing and playing the movie whenever they want.

2. Play with Friends on Apps

Explore the other apps and iMessage games that you and your friends would enjoy. For those who love to play poker with their friends, there is an app called Pokerface. What is great about it is that you can video chat while you play. It just feels like you are all just hanging out together and it’s also completely free!

3. Karaoke with Friends or Strangers via Smule

If you love singing and Karaoke, download the karaoke app Smule. You can sing along and duet with your friends, strangers and even the artists/celebrities of the song.

I remember Jessie J even shared a video of her duet with talented fan Tommy Bleasby on Smule. A couple months later, they ended up singing together live on Ellen.

4.Video Chat with Your Friends

Facetime, Skype and Zoom are the few of the many ways that you can video chat with your friends. Take a time of you day to have a chat with your friends and see how they are doing.

5. Play Video Games
