What 3 New Movies on Netflix to Watch Right Now During Quarantine 2020
Discover the new Netflix movies you should watch right now. With this disrupted society from the fast spread of Covid 19, Netflix has been our best friend as we self-quarantine, so let’s find out what new movies are worth watching.
On my previous post ‘5 Fun Ideas to Virtually Hang Out with Friends while Social Distancing’, I talked about the chrome extension called Netflix Party. Netflix Party allows you to watch Netflix with your friends simultaneoulsy from the comfort of your own homes. You do not have to watch Netflix alone anymore while social distancing. You’re welcome 🙂
Here are the 3 New Netflix Movies to Watch this 2020:
1. The Platform (2019) | Thriller
If you love the Netflix series ‘Black Mirror‘, then this Spanish-language movie ‘The Platform’ is like a long Black Mirror episode. It’s dark, extreme but not far from reality.
The Platform movie shows the harsh realities of survival and greed. The movie is in a prison setting where the concept is that there should be enough food for everyone if all the prisoners only eat what they need. However, food is never shared equally so some prisoners are forced to starve. The plot is interpreted as a metaphor of capitalism and inequality.
It is not easy to watch but it is relevant right now as we are in desperate times of the global pandemic. A lot of us have been hoarding masks, sanitizers and toilet papers when we already have enough. The Platform is impactful and needed as it is sending us a strong message to look at the bigger picture.
2. Love Wedding Repeat (2020) | Romantic Comedy
Love Wedding Repeat is a British romantic comedy movie filled with unique over the top characters. If you just want a light feel good movie to enjoy and have a good laugh, then this is the movie for you.
The whole story revolves in a wedding with tons of awkward but never dull moments. The movie shows you different scenarios of what ifs which leads to so much chaos and entertainment. It also has a couple of sweet moments about taking a chance for a hopeless romantic. P.S. Olivia Munn was looking like a goddess in here by the way!
3. Coffee and Kareem (2020) | Action Comedy
It’s not for everybody. You’ll either love this movie or hate it. There is no in between! If you can get past the excessive profanity and cursing, then you’ll have an amazing time!
Coffee and Kareem is about a 12-year-old kid trying to get rid of his mother’s boyfriend but things just go out of hand. This movie is controversial because it was bold on involving a 12-year-old boy to constantly swear and use sexual references.
I personally had fun watching this movie because it is like watching an immature man inside the body of a child. It’s a definitely hilarious movie that should not to be taken seriously. Overall, Great cast and lots of laughs.
That’s great – thank you! Will definitely watch these with my friends.
Thank you as well! I hope you enjoy them 🙂
