2 Ways to Watch Netflix in Sync while Video Chatting with friends

Netflix has kept us entertained while we are quarantined but movie nights don’t have to be experienced alone anymore. You can now watch Netflix with your friends in sync while video chatting like you are next to each other. This is also the perfect date night idea for those in long distance relationships.

First, you’ll need to open your internet browser with Chrome and not with Safari. Make sure as well that you and your friends or date have a Netflix subscription logged in. After that, you can now download the 2 Chrome extensions that will help you.

2 Ways to Watch Netflix with Friends Remotely:

1. Scener

Scener streams your Netflix shows and movies with a built in video chat by the chat box that will make you feel like you are hanging out together.

• You can watch Netflix with up to 20 people at the same time. I don’t think I can find that many people to watch a movie with me but that’s an option for you haha.

Netflix Party is the most well-known google chrome extension to stream Netflix in sync while chatting with your friends over text. What I like about it is that it is fast and simple.

• Live chat over text

Unline Scener, Netflix Party doesn’t have video chat in the system but there is a work around for that. If you want to Video chat, you can use zoom app or use the Facebook video chat then just put that screen by the Netflix party chat box. It’s pretty much the same. It’s just that you put that extra step.

• Virtual remote control – you can either choose to have everyone have control or only have one person control the show. I like that there is a remote for everyone option so that if one of us wants to pause it then we would not have to ask the others. With Scener, only one person can have the remote the entire time.
