Finding the best travel vlogging video camera for your Youtube channel can be a challenge! An easy-to-carry camera would be convenient for your trip but you would also want a camera that can deliver amazing content for your creation with high quality videos. 

Whether this is for your hobby or if you take it more seriously as a photographer or content creator, the type of content you deliver is more important than what kind of camera you are using. However, it does help getting a camera that fits you and the style of film that you want to produce.

To focus on an object, you can simply touch/tap the object the screen just like what you do with your iPhone.

Compared to Sony Alpha’s previous models, this one has external microphone and headphone ports which can be useful if you want to use your own professional mic when taping. Here is the Canon M50 which is an affordable camera that offers great value as it has most of the same features as the expensive ones. It can create a cinematic look with natural colors and offers great quality to the details in your captures. The dual pixel autofocus is very accurate on 1080p mode with 60fps. The only downside of this camera is the 4k mode as it doesn’t’ feature the dual pixel autofocus and it crops the video to 1.6x. If you specifically want to shoot with 4k videos, then this camera may not be for you. It also has a rotating touch screen for the vloggers and an external audio jack for those who want to use their own mic.

Pros:

  • Affordable with great value
  • Has image stabilization
  • Quality is good
  • Compact & lightweight
  • great with slow motion and time lapse on 720p (at 12fps)
  • Rotatable touch screen

Cons:

  • 4k mode – 1.6x crop and poor autofocus
  • There is no 1080p slow motion at 120 fps
  • Battery life is not the best but it’s common for these types of cameras
